Strategic partnerships for a Sustainable Impact
At IAPV, our partnerships with companies and NGOs allow us to address various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adapting our projects to the specific needs of each partner. These collaborations are key to achieving a positive and sustainable impact in areas such as business growth, business diversification, employment, social inclusion and environmental conservation.
What are the Benefits for partners and volunteers?
- Support in Specific Projects: Volunteers can support specific projects that require additional manpower, providing a valuable contribution without incurring additional costs.
- Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): By opening their doors to professional volunteers, companies demonstrate their commitment to CSR by contributing to the development of young people and providing professional growth opportunities to people interested in helping, learning and gaining experience.
- Talent Development and Networking: Working with professional volunteers can provide companies and NGOs the opportunity to identify and develop potential talent for future positions within the organization. Additionally, you can expand your network by building relationships with individuals committed to similar causes in different parts of the world.
- Get support and guidance in different areas: Receive support from young professionals in areas such as communications, sustainability, art, research, advertising, local development, public support, languages, etc.
Diversity of perspectives and businesses: International volunteers bring a variety of experiences and cultural knowledge that can enrich the work environment and generate new ideas, as well as find new opportunities for business or action.
- Opportunities for work experience and economic efficiency: By welcoming international professional volunteers, companies and NGOs offer valuable opportunities for real work experience to talented young people. This allows volunteers to develop skills and knowledge in a business environment, and helps businesses save costs and time.
How do Alliances work?
To make a partnership with IAPV, the following process or action plan has been defined:
The objective of this first stage is for the team of the interested company and the AIVP team to meet in order to identify the benefits of the partnership, the expectations of each party, the mutual support mechanisms and the commitments.
At this stage, the needs of the company/NGO should be defined: advertising, new clients, administrative support, etc.
Once the commitments and objectives of the partnership have been identified, the company and the AIVP will formalize what has been discussed through written agreements. In this document, both parties voluntarily accept the conditions and commit their resources according to the economic and institutional growth of the parties, as well as the benefits for the professional volunteers.
Once the agreements are signed, the alliance will begin as planned in the first phase. The commitments will then be implemented.
The AIVP will be in charge of the recruitment and selection of the candidate(s) who will carry out professional volunteering in the partner company or NGO, in addition to providing support during the onboarding process. For its part, the company or NGO will provide all the necessary support to enable the volunteers to carry out their activities in accordance with AIVP standards and in line with their own interests.
At the end of the agreed period, or at the request of one of the parties, an evaluation and review of the commitments will take place. The purpose of this phase is to evaluate whether the commitments are being met, to identify good practices and difficulties in the implementation of the partnership and, finally, to propose changes or improvements in order to strengthen the partnership and increase the benefits for the company and the volunteer.
Which are the requirements?
- Duration of the partnership: Minimum participation of three months, extendable by mutual agreement.
- Workload: A maximum of 15 hours per week in order to balance the organization's objectives and the volunteer's personal responsibilities. At IAPV, we want to promote professional training without promoting practices that allow labor exploitation and unpaid work.
- Core values: Mutual respect and tolerance are essential in all interactions.
- Training and Development: We offer training in project-specific skills and intercultural competencies.
- Continuous Monitoring and Support: We ensure constant support to enhance the role of each volunteer.
- Impact and Evaluation: We continually evaluate and adapt our programs to maximize impact.
- Economic Development: Seek individual and collective economic development without engaging in practices that may negatively affect third parties or the environment.
- Law: Comply with local and international law.
- Sustainability: Promote sustainable business and consumption, which allows the enjoyment of the resources of present generations, without compromising those of future generations.
- Pillars of IAPV: Share and exercise the values and principles of AIVP collected in its three pillars: Economic development, Environment and Diversity.
- Diversity: Reject any form of discrimination based on ethnicity, political orientation, gender, language, sexual preference, origin, economic status, etc.
- Security: Condemn, prevent and report all forms of human trafficking, forced labor, prostitution and slavery.
At the end of the agreed period, or at the request of one of the parties, an evaluation and review of the commitments will take place. The purpose of this phase is to evaluate whether the commitments are being met, to identify good practices and difficulties in implementing the partnership, and, finally, to propose changes or improvements with the goal of strengthening the partnership and increasing the benefits to the company and to IAPV.
